When looking up Chemical properties in WP I find there are many inconsistencies between articles.  A comprehensive standard would help here.

Seconded, strongly seconded.  Inconsistent format is the main thing keeping me away from editing chemistry articles.  Do I add to what's there, or do I totally re-write it?  How should I re-write it?  Here's my suggestion for a a standard format:

  • (introductory paragraph or two)
  • Properties
  • Compounds
  • Uses
  • Related Articles
  • Links
  • References

Let me know what's wrong, or right, with this.

I think by properties he meant a list of facts like: Atomic number, Standard atomic weight, Symbol, Group, etc. However both levels of consistency are important. As long as a small degree of flexibility as some elements will have more to write about than others. A few others to add to your list

History
Isotopes
Production
Dietary requirements

If you'd like, I can create an html representation of an element on a periodic table.

That reads useful.  Make on up and I'll give it a look.

Coded and noted in the html.  What do you think?

What do you think?

Not bad, though the 4 in the "-4" could be aligned a little more to the right.

Also, information on what the numbers mean would be quite useful.  Do you know if there's a glossary of basic chemistry terms in Citizendium?

It's easy enough to create a key, but more importantly this is editable for any element and implementable easily enough.

Fixed on the spacing, and changed in the notes.

The element template is nice, I like it. I brought over the chem box template a while back, it would probably be a good idea to redo it at some point or another, maybe make a standard template and require it throughout the branch of citizendium just for consistency's sake.

Also add a section on the toxicological data and other health matters if you can, I think that sort of information is pretty important.

I can make an infobox for it, if that would satisfy.

Please advise on what information you'd like to see in the chemical infobox, so I can add a field for it.
