Hey folks,

Take a look at the new page that Jim Wilce has put up for [[linguistic anthropology]].  After a little bit of linking and other routine checks, I want to give it approval.  It's quite a solid contribution.  Jim put the original of this up on Wikipedia, but he's moved it here to CZ.  If I understood him correctly, he reverted to the original version he had first put up so that it was clear of any additional writing from other Wikipedians.

Thanks Jim!

Yeah!

If one of our authors wrote all of the content, then I think we can untick the Wikipedia box, (Is that right Steve?) but I think Larry Sanger would still suggest that we try to develop it in some way to distinguish it from the WP page.  I don't know why that would stand in the way of approval though - good content is still good content.

Let's wikify it and add a photo (maybe Dell Hymes) and see how it looks.  I'll see if I can find a few minutes to do this later today.

I'd like to really go through it stylistically. I left a note on its talk.

Even if stylistic work may be ongoing, I think we could give it approval once it is properly wikified (especially the footnoting/citations).

It's not really an option with WP-sourced material:

It would only take a week or so to improve it stylistically anyway.
