As soon as the database issues are cleared up I'm going to paste in a preliminary article on the Military. I wrote it from scratch... I don't know how much we want to source from Wikipedia (or if we want to at all).

The fact that I'm in the US Army right now helps a lot though Smiley

Looks like no one is talking to you.  Makes for a hard time in developing consensus and teamwork on articles.  Hey, contact me if you want to work on a military article.

I think lots of readers will turn to our military articles, and I will be glad to help edit.  House rules: do not give away any national security secrets. Smiley Tip: look for public domain illustrations.

Bumping a thread from a year ago.... some articles are now up on CZ, but many more need to be fleshed out

http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Military_Workgroup#Main_subject_areas needs a lot of work....

http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Military_Workgroup is the "hub at the center" of Military articles

http://en.citizendium.org/wiki?title=Special:Recentchangeslinked&target=Category:Military_Workgroup shows what other folks have worked on

Just sayin'....

While I'm a newcomer, I'm writing a good deal on things that seem more military than anything else: principally intelligence and special operations, but also some military concepts.  A good deal of this starts with my Wiki material, but very quickly gets fine-tuned, variously making the writing style less dry, or putting in personal experience that doesn't easily source.

I have a draft on planning air campaigns -- the theory rather than the history of aerial warfare -- which I'll probably move shortly; it just doesn't lend itself to a rigidly sourced format.

As an amusing example of where I did get interest, I ported over [[swarming (military)]], and was taken to task about the entomological examples that are being used in the military swarming literature, but apparently don't have much to do with the way social insects actually behave.

Uploading my images is just one of those things that have to get done, but I find rather dull. Such is life.

Prime Minister, you can't take the bull by the horns if you're grasping the nettle. I mean, if you grasped the nettle with one hand, you could take the bull by one horn with the other hand, but not by both horns because your hand wouldn't be big enough, and if you took a bull by only one horn it would be rather dangerous because...' [[Military doctrine]] might help.
