Fellow literature editors & authors,

I'm hoping thart we can have, in time for the possible launch in January, one or two articles that could be a) New or substantially new, and significantly improved in some way; and b) Up to the WP "Featured Article" standards.

I've been working on a new article on The Frozen Deep, a play by Wilkie Collins and Charles Dickens.  It's a significant play, especially on a personal level, since Dickens performed in it, and met the woman for whom he left his wife (she was an actress in the play), and there is no entry at all on it in the Wikipedia.  It also has a very" dramatic" illustration not otherwise available online.  If anyone would like to suggest improvements or ways this article could be made stronger, leave a note on the article's Talk page and I'd be grateful!  With some collective work and polish, this could be one such article.

Sounds like an excellent goal.  The hope is to make this an approved article, but for that we might need more Literature editors.  See:

However, I strongly suspect there are more that I haven't got around to classifying.  (I was hoping they'd classify themselves. Smiley )

Sounds good to me too. I'm working on getting the William Shakespeare article to the same level.

We need approved articles that weren't good or featured articles on WP so as to illustrate the differences between the two projects.  However, we do need a good number of approved articles overall, so don't neglect articles that were good articles.
