WatchKnow.org is officially a CZ project, so I thought I'd use this forum to ask a question.
One of the pieces of metadata we are going to let people put in about videos embedded in the WatchKnow.org system is "license." We're tracking this info because only videos released under CC-by-sa or more permissive licenses will be able to win prize money from the project.
The question is: what "free" licenses should we include in our list? There is "proprietary," the raft of CC licenses...and what else? Anyone familiar with licenses used for videos?
Here is my list so far, with a hat tip to the FSF (
http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/license-list.html#OtherLicenses): "Proprietary," public domain, the CC licenses, and I guess (?) the GNU GPL ("General Public License") and the Free Art License 1.3.
