I uploaded it just now.... Why is the image gone?

This reminds me of the time when "gallery" tab wouldn't appear for Sea of Japan article. Is it that Citizendium is getting attacked by hackers?

Does MediaWiki have a problem with garlic?

Seriously, I've had very weird things happen when uploading large image files. Look at the file size.  I find PNG to be a lot more reliable than JPEG/JPG. I don't think that's just size; I can save a drawing as JPG and get an all black background, but PNG reproduces properly.
