Piping refers to putting a pipe character into the link. That is this | character.

The name before the pipe mark is the article linked to. The name after the pipe mark is the text displayed as the link in the referring article. So using the code I put in the previous post You would link to catalog but display catalogue.

I concur with Martin's proposal to have article-specific English language variants enabled.  In the long run, the fact that the underlying software is driven by PHP code operating on the MySQL relational database means that we will have far more flexibility than folks are used to in traditional book publishing.  Books are hierarchical, while databases are relational.  The upshot -- you can have far more transclusion using databases, thus giving you much more power to handle variants.  -- Bo Shmorhay

I changed the spelling to Catalog when I was editing it, as the majority of articles on CZ are with the US spelling. References to articles outside the actual article should reflect the reality, not the variant of English.

Hmm...Didn't occur to me, actually.  I thought we had decided the other way when we did Catalogue of British Cuisine?   Huh

Oh, sorry Aleta. Well, the British cuisine ended up as a Catalog anyway. Don't worry, it is a trivial issue really Smiley
