News: POSTING RULES FOR MAIN CZ BOARDS: (1) The CZ Forums are Citizens-only (a "Citizen" is a Citizendium member). It turns out that in the new MediaWiki parser (which Wikipedia is now running, but CZ isn't [yet]), this is trivial to do.

Turns out I am confusing two separate pieces of software:

The pre-processor, which expands templates, evaluates {{#if: }} statements, etc
The parser, which turns MediaWiki markup ([[foo]], etc) into HTML

Sorry 'bout that! It's the pre-processor which has been replaced by a new one (which CZ isn't running yet).
