Eduzendium articles are not prominently marked, which causes mistakes such as Eduzendium articles being nominated for speedy deletion. To fix this, I propose:
* On the article page, the subpages template says "This is a draft article, under development." For articles in the Eduzendium workgroup, how about replacing that with "This is a draft article, under development by [[Eduzendium]]." The background color of the subpages template could be changed as well.
* On the top of the talk page, have a template indicating that this is an Eduzendium page, which course it is developed under, and a link to the class's webpage on CZ.
* Write a help page documenting the low-level details of the Citizen/Student interactions, such as the need to add the Eduzendium workgroup.

EZ articles are placed in the Eduzendium workgroup category, viewable at the bottom of the article - or are supposed to be.  Creating something unobtrusive for the page top would seem reasonable, to me, for safety's sake.  It'd be just terrible if beginning EZ articles were inadvertently deleted for lack of adequate notice.   Huh

Here's a starting point example http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Template:EZarticle, just to prod more creative thought.  This seems to me like a justdoit thing, but I've drawn additional attention to this thread via emails.

Status urgent, I think.

Absolutely urgent - we need to be proactive here though and maybe send a note through to all course coordinators or when a student signs up as an EZ project participant then its automatically added to articles they create?  KISS is the catchphrase here!  By the way - just looka t our authorship grow through EZ - see anthro authors!

I created a second template, {{EZtalk}}, for the top of talk pages. I took the liberty of adding these templates to the top of one Eduzendium page and talk page (http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Income_statement) as a demo, with accompanying notices telling people not to use these elsewhere yet. I created an official proposal (http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Proposals/Label_Eduzendium_articles_more_prominently) for this. I believe Lee and Sorin are permitted to implement this immediately as decision-makers for Eduzendium; the proposals system should in no way slow us down.

I don't think that including this in the proposals system would slow it down (or not much), especially if Sorin and Lee were to look in immediately on the proposal, but it doesn't matter very much.  Let's get it done!

What I would suggest however is that there be no parameter for the name of the student.  CZ underemphasizes author names on articles; just because an article is being developed for EZ, that doesn't mean that we should drop this particular rule.  Also, there's a subject-verb agreement error in the template.

I just removed the student name parameter since people can get that information easily enough by clicking on the course link. I replaced "Student(s)" with "Students". OK?

OK.  Here's what I suggest: just contact Sorin and Lee and ask for their feedback and support.  Then move forward with it; make sure that you write something on the Eduzendium help/policy pages that makes it "official"--in fact, that text might be the best thing to send to Sorin and Lee.

There's no need for further debate about this, I think.  It's a very small matter--it just needs the mere attention of the EZ guys.

I just sent an email to Sorin and Lee requesting approval.

Sorin approves (see discussion section of proposal on wiki for his email). I have implemented it, except I haven't emailed participating professors.
