I noticed that the present drafts on the main page haven't been refreshed for a long time. I would say, either abolish this draft business on the main page, or be strict with it. It looks lax and uninspired when the articles stay there forever. That certainly is  no good PR!

Well, I agreed to publicise the Draft and Article of the Week, and also ended up doing the weekly frontpage updating. But I cannot nominate all the articles and vote for them as wel!! We need more community involvement, which we had hoped would come from circular emails advertising these -- but it didn't.

What do you mean by circular emails? Did I ever get one?

When there is not enough support, then either we make it monthly, or we drop it altogether.

Well, they have all been sent to the CZ-L list for everyone. There are big problems with the mail subscribing arrangements, which should be subscribed by default, with a possible opt-out. As things stand, the default is opt=out and people don't even know how to subscribe. I have raised this in the past with Larry, especially concerning editors who were not even required to accept emails, let alone be on mailing lists.

In my opinion. this matter needs to be revisited in a very serious way.
